Job description

Purpose:

Sells new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers

Responsibilities:

Represents the company in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
Makes a defined number of sales calls per day as determined by the sales manager
Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially salable by the dealership
Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
Conducts new and used equipment field demonstrations
Records and maintains all customer contact information in a CRM (customer relationship manager) designated by the sales manager
Knows and follows a defined solution selling sales process
Monitors competitive activity/products and communicates information to management in a timely fashion
Assists with the preparation and execution of trade shows, fairs, and customer events
Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
Maintains a clean company vehicle, records mileage, tolls & fuel purchases, and schedules required maintenance as necessary

Requirements:

3+ years of sales experience
Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
Ability to work flexible hours (includes special events such as fairs and festivals which are held on Saturdays/Sundays).
Excellent customer relationship skills
Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
